No one is born with overflowing confidence, some worked hard to build it and others even took years to do so. I know it’s tough building up one’s confidence, a negative comment, rejection and bad judgment from others can easily lower your self-confidence, some even struggle within themselves, they create self-doubt and often think they’re not good enough. Having confidence is also important in running a business, it’s one quality you must possess to be successful.

Take care of yourself
If you want to gain confidence then you need to start feeling good about yourself, you need to take good care of your body, get enough sleep, exercise and eat healthily. Increasing physical activities help boost confidence.
Include self-care in your daily routine, oftentimes we’re too busy with so many things that we forget our personal needs, take some time to pamper yourself like treating yourself to a nice massage, going to a salon and have your hair and nails done. You need to feel your best self both physically and mentally if you want to gain self-confidence.
Stop comparing yourself to others
It’s just human nature to feel envy and compare the life that you live to others but do you gain something from all that? It just taints your life’s perspective and lowers your self-esteem right? You constantly ask yourself why are they more successful or richer or prettier than you, keep in mind that everyone is running their race and life is not a competition so let go of all the envy and just focus on bettering yourself. Start accepting who you are and stop comparing yourself to others.
Ignore people’s bad judgment
I know a lot of us have fallen victim to harsh criticism and false judgment and that’s pretty much the norms of our society today, everyone has always something to say about someone and they’re all so quick to judge. A simple bad comment instantly lowers our confidence, you have to keep in mind that, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”, meaning you have control over other people’s opinion and criticism towards you, just choose to ignore it and live your life the best way possible that’s how you can build up your self-confidence. Treating yourself with kindness and motivating oneself is how you can build up your confidence, always have a positive mindset that whenever you experience setbacks, failures and rejections remind yourself that it’s alright, shit happens and you can always try again, talking harshly to yourself will only make things worse so don’t try to beat yourself up, nobody is perfect anyway right?
